The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, observed every year on September 30, is an opportunity to reflect on Canada’s history with Indigenous Peoples. Originally known as "Orange Shirt Day," this day honors the experiences of Indigenous children whose identities and cultures were suppressed. It’s not just about remembering the past but committing to ongoing learning, healing, and reconciliation.

The work of SHARE Family & Community Services is carried out on the ancestral, traditional and unceded territory of the Kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem), Qiqéyt (Key-Kayt) and Coast Salish Nations.

The SHARE offices will be closed on September 30 to observe National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
