Rotary Club of New Westminster Funds Two Walkers for Children

Thanks to the Rotary Club of New Westminster who have funded two walkers for the children that attend the New Westminster Children's Centre. The walkers are loaned to families who otherwise would not have access because of the cost. The positive feedback from the families that have borrowed the walkers has been overwhelming and we are grateful to the Rotary Club for their very generous grant to SHARE.

We recently gave some club members a tour of the new space in New Westminster. Our SHARE team showed them the walkers and talked about the impact these have had on the families.

The walkers are used by children aged 15 months to five years of age in SHARE's physical therapy program at the Children’s Centre.  The grants for the walkers have made a significant difference in the lives of the children we serve. SHARE is committed to helping children reach their full potential, and this grant will be instrumental in achieving this goal.

SHARE's New Westminster Children’s Centre (NWCC) provides coordinated services for children and families that live in New Westminster. Through our partnership with Kinsight, SHARE works with children, their families and other service providers in New Westminster to help children participate in everyday activities.  Early Intervention Therapists support children to develop a range of skills and abilities – from strength and balance to language and self-care.
