Building a More Inclusive and Welcoming Food Bank Experience

Thanks to Food Banks Canada’s Access Grant, SHARE has been able to provide more fresh, nutritious, and culturally appropriate foods to better support our diverse community here in the Tri-Cities.

This funding has helped SHARE’s three Food Banks take another important step toward making our spaces more inclusive, welcoming, and dignified for everyone. Through the grant, we were able to purchase culturally specific foods that reflect the traditions and needs of the people we serve, improve accessibility through facility upgrades, and enhance client support with translation, signage, and staff time dedicated to navigation and outreach.

Every improvement brings us closer to our vision of a strong community that welcomes everyone to live, participate, contribute, and reach their full potential. SHARE’s volunteers and staff are deeply grateful to Food Banks Canada and their partners for investing in this essential work and helping us build a stronger, more equitable food system for all.
