Providing Food to Those Who Are in Need


The SHARE Food Bank provides direct food support to supplement the diets of hundreds of individuals and families each week in the Tri-Cities. We believe people should have access to healthy and nutritious food where they live and in a dignified manner.

Requirements for Registration Food Supplement:

At the time of registration, you must apply in person at the Food Bank, 2615 Clarke St. (rear of the building) no appointment necessary, with your current I.D. and proof of address for all adult members of the household, e.g. rental agreement or utility bill. If you do not have this information, please come and see us anyway.

No means test required – the source of income is used for tracking purposes only.

SHARE Food Bank is open for donation drop off at the 2615 Clarke Street (rear of building):

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

No Wednesday donation drop off

Donations:

Donations are always appreciated. If you would like to make a financial donation you can go directly to our Donate to SHARE page. If you would like to host a virtual fundraiser, learn more at our Host a Fundraiser page.

If you would like to donate food, please donate fresh fruit and vegetables. Non perishable foods like rice, canned tomato paste / diced tomatoes, canned fruit, canned fish / meat and canned meals are also appreciated. Thank you for thinking of the SHARE Food Bank.

PREFERRED FOOD

  • Canned Diced Tomatoes
  • Chunky Tomato Sauce
  • Canned Fruits
  • Canned Vegetables (Corn and Mushroom)
  • Canned Fish and Meats (Tuna and Ham)
  • Instant Oatmeal and Cereal Variety Packs (Single Serving Packages)
  • Canned Meals (Beans in Tomato Sauce and Beef Chili, Stew)
  • Pasta (900g or smaller)
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil (1L or smaller)

Food Bank Distribution is on Wednesdays from 10:00am -1:30 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Port Moody – SHARE Family and Community Services - 2615 Clarke Street (rear of building)
  • Coquitlam – Hillside Church – 1393 Austin Avenue
  • Port Coquitlam – Trinity United Church – 2211 Prairie Avenue

Volunteering

We are not recruiting new volunteers at this time. In order to maintain social distancing we need to limit the number of people we can have on our sites at one time. Thank you for your offers to help. We appreciate your kind offer and will reach out to the community when our situation changes
